One Card for another 4 challenges

Happy weekend everyone. After a few days of not doing anything, I managed to finish one card again for 4 challenges. Here are the challenges for using this card:

Friday Sketchers #65
Friday Sketchers #65 - Here is the sketch I used for this card

Copic Color Challenge #26 - Here are the three color requirment and if you don't have all or even any of the colours listed, just use the closest you have - as long as you use at least one Copic Marker you can enter! I happened to have all these three colors..phew!

Allsorts Challenge - Week 14 This week's theme is "In an English Country Garden". This can be interpreted in so many different ways apart from the obvious flowers, which of course we would love to see, but how about teddy bears picnic, afternoon tea, you decide what it means to you - I am so looking forward to coming to visit you to see what you have created.

Stampin for the weekend Challenge #11 - This week's a theme is "Days Gone By", in other words, to create a Vintage style card, remembering that you do have to use a stamped or digi stamped image on your card......so it's all in the way you decorate, distress, vintage-ize (is there such a word) your card or project.

This is my finished card

Closer view on the flowers I layered. I added some gold glitters to match up with the gold trim.

Here is a closer view on the coloring. I colored it with Copic Markers using the foundation of the three colors requirements (R59, BG09 & G99) from the Copic Color Challenge.

This is to show you the thickness of the card. It is quite thick.

I don't do vintage card that often but this card turned out better than I expect it. Since I finished this card and like it so much, I am sure I can sleep well. LOL!

Thank you for visiting my blog and wish you a happy weekend.

A card for 4 challenges

Happy Wednesday everyone! This is a first time for me to post a card enter for 4 challenges. I think I only post a card for 2 challenges the most, so to do one card for 4 IS a challenge for me.

Here is the card I am posting for the following challenges:
Magnolia Down Under Challenge #19 - the theme for this challenge is Winter is here - So we want to see, snow, snowflakes, rugged up Tilda/Edwin, rain, wind etc the list is endless and what you make of it. Here down under we are right into winter and the nights have been FREEZING.
Allsorts Challenge Week #13 - the theme for this week is . . . . . VINTAGE . . . . .
Winter Wonderland Week #11 - the topic for this challenge is This week's theme is sure to get you running for the glitter pots and glues - just go mad, because the topic is Twinkle Sparkle, and who can resist a touch of glitter and bling at Christmas!!
This is the card for all these challenges. Did you notice the image coloring is a bit different than usual coloring? It's because I normally use my Stampin Up Whisper White cardstock, but this time, I used the Recollection White Cardstock and I don't really like the result. Next time, I think I will just stick with my Whisper White from Stampin Up.
Closer view on Tilda and textures usind Cuttlebug embossing folders.
This is the side view to show you the layer and dimension.
Inside view, I've used the MS snowflower punch and punch two different colors and layered the two pieces of snowflakes together to form one snowflake .

One more closer look of the inside:
These are all the copic markers I used for this card.
Will work on more cards end of the week, please stay tune! Thank you for stopping by today and will see you again soon :o)

Cards received from other crafters

Hope you all enjoyed your weekend and ready for a new week. Today, I am not posting any of my cards, but instead, I am posting cards I received from other talent crafters.
I am a member of the Magnolia-licious Yahoo group where I participate in the 'raining group' as well as a 'Mingle card swap'.
Mingle card swap:
For the Mingle card swap, depending on the # of participants each month. I will assign a partner to send a card to and assign a partner to get a card for that partner. This time, my Mingle card partner is Kim. Thank you Kim! I received the most beautiful card from her and here is a picture of the card Kim made for me:
View of the inside of this Mingle card:
Raining Group:
For the raining group, there are a total of 24 participants. Each month, 4 participants would be picked as a 'receiver' for cards that send from other participants. This raining group goes on for 6 months until all 24 participants get their turns. Luckily, I was picked as a 'receiver' for July. So far, I received quite a few cards from the raining group. Here is the picture I received so far:
Since I am still receiving more cards from the raining group, I will keep adding more pictures as I receive them.
Thank you all ladies for these wonderful cards using Magnolia stamps. They are all so wonderful and cheerful!

Magnolia-Licious Highlites August DT Sketch, Roses on Paper Challenge #17

This early afternoon today, I was sitting on the floor watching TV with my daughter. After a while, I just felt like I should get something done, so I went downstairs to take some paper up to start cutting while watching the TV and I was still sitting on the floor. Then after a while, I wanted to put the card together, so I moved even more stuff up onto the floor. Although I still have a big mess to clean up, I was able to get my card finished. This is the card I finished for the Magnolia-licious Highlites August DT Challenge and I added tons of hearts to meet the requirement to enter the Roses on Paper challenge #17 as well.

The DT sketch for Magnolia-licious Highlites is following:

I turned the sketch a bit and because Diana offered another prize for the additional category of "thinking outside the box", I made the circle shape into a little window with curtains for Tilda.
Here is a closer view to show you I layered a little part of the little lamb that Tilda is holding for additional dimensions.

That's it for today and I hope you all have a great weekend~

Share my excitement

Happy Friday everyone! Sorry I haven't been posting for a few days. Since I came back not long ago from my camping/Vancouver trip, I haven't gotten a chance to work on any paper projects yet.

However, I wanted to get some inspirations from other fellow crafters/stampers/artists, etc. Therefore, I went to visit some of my friends' blogs for inspiration and also to catch up on how they were doing. I was thrilled and surprised when I came across one of my favorite blog friends' blog. It was Cami
(Please do check Cami's blog post, you will see why I am so excited.)

Wow, Cami, I really wanted to give you a bear hug for choosing me to receive the award which is dedicated to papecraft artists. To be honest, I get tons of inspiration and encouragement from you a lot and I really wanted to take this opportunity to THANK YOU SO MUCH CAMI!!!!!!!
This is my very first blog award I received and will sure cherish it for a life time.

Better get going to work on my project now. Thank you for sharing my excitement for today and will post again as soon as I get a chance. See you all soon!

Sunflowers and Dragonflies Sketch Challenge 3

Happy weekend. Finally, finally...the weekend is here. I've been waiting for some free time from work. Hopefully, I can get some free time to rest, to play and to enjoy the nice weather although it's a bit hot, but it's summer and it only would last for a short time. Better enjoy the sun while we have it!

Today, I am posting a card I made for the currently Saturday Sunflowers and Dragonflies Sketch Challenge. This is my first time, so it's a bit exciting for me.

Here is the sketch for this week's challenge:
Here is my finished card. For some reasons, I really like this card, not sure why, but I feel so satisfied on what I came up with.
I used the Magnolia butterflies. Cut them and layered them to add some dimension on this card.

I also added a K & Co butterfly charm to match up the the butterflies I added.
The DP I used is the DCWV Kitchen Stack and has glitters on it. Here is a closer view on the paper to show the shiny effect.
I didn't put any blush on Tilda this time, just because I forgot! In addition, I was kind of lazy to add it back on her since I've adhered her on the paper. "Sorry Tilda!"
Here is the insides:

I mentioned that I will post a picture of my Copic Markers storage on my last post, so here is the picture. I love to color my images everywhere I go, so sometimes I will keep this storage in my craftroom, but sometimes I will bring the whole thing and move it upstairs to my dining table. I find that it's easy to move around.

Here is the pictures for my Copic Markers. As you can see, I still have lots of space to fill up for more. (what an excuse for buying)

Ok, that's all for today and tomorrow I will be going camping with my husband and my daughter. Hopefully, it will not be too too hot! See you soon and have a nice weekend everyone~
