Kissing Tilda & Edwin Pinic Basket High Gift Box

Happy mid week everyone. How's your new year so far? After the Christmas holiday, I am back to work again. I know it's a little ridiculous, but I am looking forward already for my next time off which will be end of this month. If you are also going to CHA in Anaheim, well...hope to see you there!!

Since I am in an early February Valentines mood, I am sharing with you the love theme of a high gift box. I came across the tutorial from THIS TALENT BLOGGER and decided to try one. The finished box is not very large, I think it would be used perfectly for those mini 'heart shape' bath spa soaps or some facial towels, but that's just my thoughts. I picked the cute Mini Tilda & Edwin from Magnolia-licious to add a tag on the side. The Kissing Edwin Standing and the Shy Tilda are on the Magnolia Doohickey Vintage Tag. I just love this vintage tag die from Magnolia.

Here is the finished box

I am also using this project for the following challenges:
Creating Memories In Time Challenge (CMIT) - Valentine's Day Design
Pretty Little Ribbon January Challenge #6 - Be My Valentine
The Perfect Sentiments Challenge 13 - Vellum Valentines (heart "be mine" sentiment stamp)
Just Tracy's Crafts Challenge - Love is in the Air
Oh La La Creations Challenge (OLLCB) #95 - Anything but a card
Penny Black and More Challenge - Love and hearts
Simon Says Stamp Challenge - New Something (my new "Be Mine Hear"t stamp)
7 Kids College Fund Challenge #38 - Try Something New (1st try on this type of box)
My Time to Craft Challenge 170 - Hugs & Kisses

Closer view on these images. I stamped and colored Tilda on the tag, then colored Edwin on a separate paper, then adhered him on the tag after.

I cut out the window using the Spellbinder die, then stamped the heart sentiment on vellum and applied it to the opening.

Closer view to show you the embellishment and metal handle on the bottom part of the cover

Thank you for stopping by today and hope to see you again soon for another love theme project :o)

this is super duper cute! Luv the colors & all the details on this gift basket! I luv basket. You made me feel like to make one for myself too. Luv the tilda & edwin's coloring too! :-) I haven't been to tokyo for AGES! ... not, but like 6~7 years. I luv to visit but it's better to do so when i have some money to spend there!;-)cuz as you know, it's very expensive, esp. now, with the exchange rate against US$, it's even worse...
