Tilda with Violin vintage card

Good morning everyone. I know lately, I've been posting a few altered projects, so today let's get back to the normal card post again. I wanted to do a vintage card, so with my distressing tool and ink, I distressed the edges of this card. Besides the Tilda with Violin, I also used the Doohicky Cutting Dies as part of my embellishments to add some texture. On this card, you see the Vintage Tag die and the Leaf and Swirl Die I purchased from Magnolia-licious.

I am using this card for some challenges, please scroll down to the bottom of this post for the challenges link.

See this cute Tilda? OMG, I had another copic dripping accident. This time, a big drop of Copic ink landed on Tilda's head, sniff sniff...... I can't even count how many times this happened to me, lol My laziness told me to find a simplest way to fix it, so instead of re-ink another image or re ink the head to cover on top, I ended up finding a little flower to cover up my boo boo.

See my poor Tilda's head before she had her makeover, hehe

Ok, here is my finished card. Originally, I wasn't planned to use red, but because of her messed up head, the red flower was the better size of flower I could find to cover her head without being too bulky. So I guess this card is a vintage card with a modernness red touch whatever you liked to call it??!!

Closer view of the image sit on top of the vintage tag die cut (I embossed the cut and added pearls on top). Left side to show you a closer view of the Doohicky die cut with some red flower on top to match up with Tilda and the little clover charm.

Nice save, she is really cute with the flower in her hair. I know what you mean, I have thrown away tons of bad images but then the next day I look at them and decide some of them are save worthy. You did a great job saving this one and the card is so awesome, I love it.

Genius! There is nothing worse than just about finishing an image and then "gloop!" a drop! Gaaa!! That happened to me too; but I wasn't as clever as you are, obviously... I grumbled, (erm, okay, "sweared") and started over.

Love your card!!!

Wow, wow, wow, Cabio! What a wonderful save you made on this Tilda! I've had this problem on several images, but I wasn't as smart as you are...I just threw them away and started over! Love the coloring on this card and all your embellies are so perfect. I've got to get that Doohickey Flourish Die. Putting the flowers along the flourish really brings attention to Tilda's beautiful flower in her hair. Excellent work...hugs...Barb
