Your Next Stamp Challenge #3 DT card - Winter Digi

Happy Wednesday! It's a new week for the Your Next Stamp Challenge #3 today. This time is our talented Starlet Samsee's turn to host and she would like us to use any YNS image to make a Christmas card/project without using the tradition colors of red and green. It is a challenge for me, because I always use these two colors for Christmas, lol.

There will be 2 winners. One winner will be picked from randomly draw to receive a YNS stamp set. Another winner will be pick by the host (Simonne) to receive the YNS Challenge Winner blinkie. Entries close at midnight (EST) on Tuesay 17th November. You still have plenty of time to join, so check this challenge out here!

Skating Ellie card
I tried it and really like the way this card turned out. This Skating Ellie image is so cute. She is one of the new YNS winter digis. I was thinking winter/Christmas should be peaceful, so I choose an eye soothing combo of pastel pink & blue for this card. Since she is a skater, I decided to make my own little scene just for fun by creating a little ice-skating ring for her.

That was how I made it. First, I drew a shape of a little pond (I just randomly drew this with no particular template) and colored it with my Copics. Then I cut out the shape and outlined it with the liquid applique. Using the heating tool to heat it until it was puffy. After it was nice and dry, I added the diamond glaze inside the pond area. I was being good by not touching it before it dried. Ta-da! It wasn't as hard as you thought...

Here is the finished card:

I am having a hard time to take a picture of this shining skating ring, but it looks really shining on the card itself.

Side view for the dimension.

Closer view on the snowflakes. I've used the MS snowflake punch to punch out in two different colors, then put them together. Added some liquid applique in the middle to puff it a little.

I ADORE this Cabio! The scene you've created is so creative and gorgeous! That spotty DP makes it look as if it's snowing! I must get myself some of that liquid applique - it makes such good snow! Truly stunning job! hugs, Simonne x
