Easy made shimmering mist tutorial

Hello everyone and happy Halloween!!! Treat or trick? How about a treat?
I haven't post a tutorial for a long time, so today I am going to do a little tutorial post showing you how I made my own shimmery mist. I used it to spray flowers to add a little shiny effect on them. You can spray them with chipboard and paper as well. Remember the mini circle easel card on my last post with a distressing crackle paint. I sprayed the mist on it as well as glossy accent. I think it's a cool material.

So here is a sample of a purple mist I made. I used it to spray this white flower. You can still see the white part behind it.

First you will need some LuminArte polish pigments powder (if you don't have it, I am sure any pigment powder will work) , some water and a spray bottle. On this tutorial, I picked the purple color one on the very left.

Step one - scoop small amount of pigment powder into the empty spray bottle. As you can see this scoop is so mini, so for this small scoop, I put about 3 or 4 scoops into the bottle.

Then fill the bottle up with water (because this is pigment powder, I suggest you to wear a thin plastic gloves, otherwise, your hands are going to look like my dirty fingers on this pictures. The purple on my hands didn't go away for over a week, yikes.

Close it and shake it to mix the powder and water. It's THAT SIMPLE. Now you are ready to spray them with whatever you want.

Here is the shiny flower sprayed with this mist. Is it cool? If you want it extra shiny, you can add more glitter/stickles around the edge of these petals.

Ok, thank you so much for stopping by. Hope you like it and have fun trying them out. You can save some money from buying craft supplies now :o)

Rainbow Theme Mini Easel Tilda card

Good morning and happy Thursday. Remember the rainbow challenge over at Lollipop Crafts Challenge? Well, here is another rainbow card I made to share with you. This is a mini round easel card. I got the tutorial from my very talented blogging friend Norma. If you wanted to try it, you can see tutorial from Norma's blog.

I am using this card for the following challenges:
Creative Card Crew Challenge - Let's Punch It
Simon Says Challenge - Punch
Papertake Weekly Challenge - Sparkly & Bright
Craft Your Passion Challenge #29 - Add glitter, sparkles
Lexi's Creations Challenge #25 - Birthday
Top Tip Tuesday #7 - Anything Goes
Delightful Challenges - Circles
OSAAT #36 - All Celebrations
Challenge Up Your Life challenge #30 - Easel Card

This is my finished card. I used Lazy Summer Day Tilda from Magnolia-licious. Although it's currently out of stock, but I am sure if you email the store, Diana from the store will be able to get back to you. This Tilda is perfect size for a mini card. I also used distress crackle paint and glossy accents on the chipboard letter "B" and the butterfly punchie.

Closer view on Lazy Summer Day Tilda

Here are some closer view of the crackle paint chipboard and butterfly shape. I first painted them with 'broken china' distress crackle paint, then I sprayed some (homemade) metallic green shimmery mist on them, then when it dried, I applied glossy accents on them to get a shiny effect. Yep, a lot of work for just little embellishments, but I really like the outcome. I will do up a tutorial on a very easy made shimmery mist in a later date. Please stay tune!!

Here is the view when this mini easel card opened.

I stamped sentiment on vellum and cut them with spellbinder.

Now here is today's project. This week's Lollipop Crafts Challenge is 'RAINBOW', so you can use a rainbow image or colors of the rainbow. Actually my background DP is pretty colorful like a rainbow, but because it's a background, so you can't really see it that well. However, using colorful paper like rainbow sound simple enough for you to join us?

Tilda Shopping in the Fall

Good morning and happy mid-week. Many of you knows that I am crazy about Tilda and Copics, but I think most of you know that I am not very good at doing coloring with distressing ink. I did up a card with Tilda Goes Shopping from Magnolia-licious and setting it in an Autumn theme using Copic with distressing ink and this is my second try. Not sure why, but I laughed after looking at my coloring. After this one, I think I really need to practice more, lol.

The Shabby Tea Room Week #32 - Inspiration challenge
C4C59 - Fall/Autumn
Inktegrity #18 - Halloween/Fall

Closer view on this image and my funny distressing coloring skill, lol I did a big BOO BOO on one of her shopping bag. I dropped a big drop of Copic on the bag while coloring, so I applied some stickle on the bags to cover it up. Can you tell??
