Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge - Edwin on the bench

Good evening. I had a day off today and this afternoon I was able to finish a card for the Madness Sketch Challenge. You can check out the details by clicking the link.

The sketch is here:
I used Magnolia Edwin for this challenge. I bought quite a few Magnolia stamps lately, but just didn't get a chance to try them all out. This was my first time using this stamp.

I choose some retired Stampin Up Designer series paper (DSP) for this card. Instead of using my usual cuttlebug embossing folder for texture, I used the Fiskars Crimper this time to roll up the blue background DSP. I've also used the tree image from "Trendy Trees" stamp set by Stampin Up for additional embellishment and sentiment on this card. Since it was an unisex theme card, I tried not to use too much flowers and ribbons although I've added just a little.

Since I have family visiting in town this week, I think I might be taking a bit longer to do another card challenge, but will try my best to do more soon!

Thank you for stopping by!

Just Magnolia Challenge - Week 11 Tilda Halloween Mono Card

Good Day everyone. I had a productive week. Was able to finish another card. This card is for the Just Magnolia Challenge - Week 11. Here is the image for the sketch.

I always wanted to make a mono colors card with only grayish colors. The Halloween Tilda image is my first choice to try this card out. You can purchase this image from my favorite Magnolia stamp store here: http://www.magnoliastamps.us/ where I get all of my Magnolia stamps. I thought Halloween would be the type of occasion that I can use these colors besides the wedding or graduation themes. I also used a package of Jolee's emebellishment to help adding some details for this card. There was a full spider web from this embellishment, what I did was I cut the spider web into a few pieces, so I can use them to decorate some of the corners as you can see from the pictures.
Since the original image Tilda was holding a spider, but I really didn't feel like cutting the thin string just because I didn't dare to. LOL, instead, I've added a silver cord on Tilda's finger and put a spider from this Jolee's package. That way, there would add some dimensional details on the card.
Ok, here are the pics for my card. Thanks for dropping by and will see you soon!

Friday Sketchers 58 - Cool Snow Anya

Hello everyone. I hope you all had a good weekend.

I've been late for my submission on Friday Sketchers Challenge in the past, so I've learned my lesson. This time, I decided to make my card earlier. Today's post is a card for Friday Sketchers I made using the Snow Anya taken from the Rain Snow Shine Miss Anya set made by The Greeting Farm. It seems like I've used rich & bright colors for quite a few cards lately, I wanted to use a pastel scheme for a change. I dug out from my DP drawers and came up with eye soothing DP and embellishments.

Here is the sketch for this week's Friday Sketchers Challenge

These are the pictures of my card. Thanks for stopping by!

Friday Sketch & Roses on Paper Challenges

Hello to you all. Sorry for not doing any post for a few days. My daughter has exams this week and got tide up helping her for the last few evenings after coming back from work. This evening she finally finished all her exams and I finally got a chance to sneak into my craftroom. I just started making this card about an hour ago. Boy, was I ever rushed! I've wrote down the recipe for all my colors before posting these pictures. However, I was extremely rushed and my head must be emptied and that I totally forgot where I put this piece of paper. When I find it, I will add it to the bottom of this post.

Thanks for stopping by!

I've made this card for Friday Sketch and using this for the Roses on Paper Challenge as well. Here is my card:

Hula Anya Tropical colors Card

After the Edwin card, here is another girly girl card. Are you surprise? lol
I bought two of this Hula Anya from The Greeting Farm about a month ago. I kept one and mailed another one to my secret sister "Angie" from a six month SS swap committment. This Hula Anya was one of the items inlcuded for my reveal package. I just never get a chance to use it until this weekend. I felt like tropical theme (got the idea from all the sunshine we had last week), so I colored Anya with the bright orange and blueish green with my copic markers. In addition, I've used the butterfly stamp from the Simple Friendship set by Stampin Up. After colored this two images, I've cut them out and added stickle glitters on them. The front DP, the white flower and the ribbons were from a card kit swap I participated. I love doing card kit swap and wish I can do more, but just could't find time doing that lately. Hopefully, I can do them again when I got more free time :~)

Thank you for stopping by again!

Hugs to you all,
Cabio

Edwin with bunch of circles card

Happy Father's Day everyone! Since today is Father's Day, I am posting a card using my Edwin's image. I do most of girly girl type of cards, therefore, I am not very good at doing card for boy/man's theme. I have to tell you everytime when I use Edwin to make a card, I have to spend extra time just to think of what colors should I use, but everytime I enjoy doing it. Taking this kind of challenge is always a pleasure to me.

I found some DP from an unopened package of Provo Craft's 8 x 8 Christina Cole's Slab pad which I bought quite a while ago. Once I choose the DPs, I punched out many circle rings/shapes using all my Stampin Up punches to match up with this DP.

Here is my finished card front:

Copic Challenge No. 6 - Tilda with wooden basket

Good morning and happy Wednesday. Having been post for a few days, because I didn't really get a chance to do a card for a few days. However, after a few days break, I finished a card for the Copic Challenge.

Today, I choose an image I received yesterday from a card kit swaps I participated. Since the Copic Challenge is related to "Wood", I colored Tilda's wood basket with brown. I love this Tilda's coat with the fur, and I used white Liquid Applique on top of the fur area for the coat to make it pop up for 3D effects. That's it for today's post. Hopefully, I will get some free time to do more cards for postings. See you all soon!

The Greeting Farm Anya card & candle set

Happy Saturday to you all. Today I am posting the pictures for a candle & card set I made using the Miss Anya stamp from the Greeting Farm. I found that the candle is quite easy to finish, it was faster to make a candle than a card. Previously, I bought a shorter candle, but ended up the images I wanted to use were too tall for the short candle. From then, I always get the taller kind rather than the short ones.

I made this set for a friend who I am going to meet tomorrow. Here is the picture of my card and candle!

This is the card I made to match the candle.

Here is the inside of the card and I used vellum paper for writing space.

The Suger Bowl - Challenge #12

TGIF, plus our weather is fabulous here. What a great day to start the weekend. Remember a few days ago, I was going to do a card for the Sugar Bowl Challenge? I got it done last night. For those of you who are interested in joining this challenge, you have up to June 17th to submit your card. Love those Gorjuss Girls stamps. I bought set 1 of these stamps from Funky Kits not long ago and I only was able to try a couple of them. Hopefully, during the summer, I will have a little more time to spend in my craftroom.

Here is the Sketch for this round's Challenge:

This is my card and I used the "Sitting Sugar Nellie" of the Gorjuss Girl set.

Here is a closer view of this card.

After looking at this card, I felt that I could have cut the yellow cardstock a little bigger just to fill up more of the background's purple space. Sighhh.....Ohhh WELLLL! Next time, I will be better (I hope).

Have a great weekend and will see you soon!

Magnolia-licious June Homepage Card Challenge

Hello everyone. Are you all having any fun yet? I sure do have fun whenever I finish a project.

Today, I was planning to do a card for the Sugar Bowl Challenge, but I haven't thought of an idea yet. When I went down to my craftroom, I saw some Creative Imaginations DP which I got from Michaels when they went on sale. I remembered there was a "Patriotic" theme challenge for the Magnolia-licious Group July's Homepage.

Sorry, but the Sugar Bowl challenge has to wait until a later date when I have a light bulb in my head. There are too many interesting online challenges and I have had a hard time keeping myself organized. For example, there was a Friday Sketchers Challenge that I have completed last Saturday so I could join, but by the time I finished the card, I had passed the due date and another sketch was already up.

Now you can see how organized I am. LOL (ROFL)!! However, I will post the July Homepage Challenge card as well as my late entry card for the Friday Sketcher in this post.

Here is my card for the Patriotic challenge

I used copics for coloring, cut out the hat printed on the DP and punched out the stars the same DP to make that circle embellishment as well as using it for my origami paper. Such a useful piece of DP. I also added the fire crackers embellishment by Jolee's to match up with the theme.

This was the card I completed and was going to submit for the Friday Sketcher Challenge, but past the due date.

Closer view on my friend Tilda!

From now on, I got to get a piece of paper to draw down the challenges that I am planning to do and make sure I also put down the due date besides it to remind myself. I guess it has to do with aging.....hmmmmm....

Thank you all for dropping by! See you all soon.

Magnolia-licious DT Blog Hop Challenge

Good day to you all. Today I am posting my finished project of the Post-It Note Holder & Gift Box for the Magnolia-licious DT Blog Hop Challenge. At first, I planned to use the Edwin holding latern stamp, but then decided to use Tilda instead. The standing Edwin was a bit too tall for the box height, I though it would look better if I use one of the sitting Tilda, so that was why! If you want to join this challenge, you still can join before Jun 12th. Check out details at the site here.
I got this image from the online store at Magnolia-licious. So far, all of my Magnolia stamps are from purchased from them and I really enjoy their service too.
Here are the pictures for the finished set. A gift box and the Post-It note holder.
