Midnight Madness Challenge Week 12 - MMSC12

Happy Friday to all of you,

After a few days for not doing any paper crafts, I think I should really get some cards done. Today, I didn't use a Magnolia stamp, but instead using Anya from the Greeting Farm just in case you get tired of my friend Tilda, lol. I am doing this card for the Midnight Madness Challenge for Week #12.

I received this image from an image swap I participated a while ago. I still have quite a few stamps that I never get a chance to use them yet. Oh well....

Since today's image (Anya) has her Kimono outfit, I wanted to stay in an Asia theme. I remembered a few years ago when I went travelling in Japan, I bought a little foam flowers stamp set from a craft store, but never get a chance to use them. Therefore, I used this set for the very first time on this card. Be honest with you, the quality of this set is pretty bad. However, I managed to use it, but not sure if I would use it again????!!!

Here is this week's sketch for the Midnight Madness Challenge.
Here is my finished card:

Here is a closer view to show the way I did my ribbon. I kind of cross weaved it.

Closer view on the image coloring. Couldn't color her without putting eye shadow for her. LOL

Here is the stamp set I got from Japan:

Ok, that's all I have for you for today. I would like to show you where I hold all my copic markers next time. See you soon!

Just Magnolia Challenge Week #15

Hope you all had a great weekend. I am ready for Monday now, are you?

Today's post is a card I made for the Just Magnolia Challenge. Here is the sketch for this challenge:

I am sure you are not suprise that I used Strawberry Tilda of the Lazy Days Summer for this card. You can pre-order this stamp from Magnolia-licious. I downloaded the pictures for this post, then realized I missed the 3 dots on the right side for this sketch. Therefore, I took all the pictures down and added in the heart shape rhinestones to fit the sketch requirement and then uploaded the new pictures again to post. Phew.....See how easy I missed things?!
Ok, here is the correct card for the sketch. I've cut the cardstocks and embossed them with cuttlebug embossing folders to add textures on them, then stamped the flowers images (from Magnolia as well) and built them as 3D dimensional embellishment for additional details. The sentiment is from the 'Simple Friendship' set by Stampin Up.

That's all I have for you today and will do more post within this week (I hope!)

Sugar Bowl Challenge #15 - Sugar Nellie: Gorjuss Girl

Happy Tuesday, everyone and thank you for stopping by. Today I am posting a card I made for the Sugar Bowl Challenge #15 using one of my Gorjuss Girl Set 1 stamps. The funny thing was that I totally forgot about the sketch they provided and just did the layout on my own.

After I made the card, I checked out the Challenge site, And then I realized I was supposed to follow the sketch they provided. When I looked at my card, I thought 'Wow, it does kind of look like I followed the sketch'. Phew~

I came across a very cute sentiment stamp from my random stamps drawer and thought this might fit with the Gorjuss Girl image, so I used it on this card.

Hello and thank you for stopping by and thank you for all the sweet comments you left for my previous posts :o)

Just one more sleep until TGIF. I can't wait!
My sister and my niece left and went back to California. My niece had some fun in my craftroom during her stayed. Oops......now that she got addicted from my Copic Markers after she tried them and she called earlier saying that she will be buying some tonight. Uh oh....How could she not get addictive though?! LOL

Today I am posting a card I made for the Friday Sketchers #60 (the sketch is below) as well as the Roses On Paper Challenge #16 which is looking for a card in Summer theme. Therefore, I decided to use the Friday Sketcher's sketch and working it out based on the summer theme.

Midnight Madness MMSC9 Challenge and Magnolia-Licious August Homepage Card Challenge

Happy Monday to you all. I am off today from work and finally can get a chance to do my posting. I finished this card for two challenges earlier, but just couldn't find time to post it up until now.

Besides checking out my card, please also check out Jacque's site for blog candy info. Jacque's works are gorgeous and you will be amazed with all her works!

Ok, now here is my card. I am using this challenge card for two challenge site. One is for the Midnight Madness MMSC9 Challenge Sketch below:

Here is the card I made using this sketch:

I am also using this card for another challenge which is for the August Homepage Card Challege under the Magnolia-Licious Yahoo Group. There is no particular rule for August and it could be any theme, so I will be using this card for the challenge.

I used the stamp I bought from Diana at Magnolia-licious. The news is that for us Canadian customers, there will be a 12% discount on the whole order to bring prices to an at Par level or lower. What a nice news to know since I buy all my Magnolia stamps from her.

Here is a closer view on the image I colored with my copic markers:

Here is a closer view on the sparkly sequence trim I put on top of a ribbon trim.

Closer view on the ribbon and I used the snowflake brads to match up with the winter theme of this card.

That's it for today and thank you for stopping by!

Magnolia-Licious Highlites Sketch and Copic Challenge

Hello and happy late Thursday to you. Thank you for the sweet comments you left for me. I've been so busy with family gathering with out of country visitors for the past weeks and didn't get too many chances to go down to my craftroom. I've been using my lunch breaks doing some coloring and cutting for the past few days. After a few days of doing little pieces here and there, I finally put the whole card together for two challenges. One is the Magnolia-Licious Highlites Sketch for July and the other is the Copic Challenge Brunette Hair.

Here is my card for the challenges:

Roses On Paper Challenge #15 - Gate card including stitching

Hello everyone! Although I am located in Canada, but wish you a Happy Indenpendence Day! After a few days break, I managed to finish a card for the Roses on Paper Challenge. This challenge is for a gate fold card incorporating stitching somewhere on the card. The stitches could be sewing, hand stitches, faux stitches with pens or rub on, etc.
Since sewing is not my best area, I choose to use my rub on stitches tape (by Daisy D's). As usual, I colored Tilda with Copic markers. The snowflake punchies were made by the Martha Stewart snowflake punch. For each snowflake on the right side, I put 2 different colors and put them together with foam adhesive, then adhered a 1/2 back pearl in the middle. For the Tilda image, beside the copic markers, I've used the stickle on her wings and dotted the middle of the mini snowflakes. Used of liquid applique for the pom pom of her hat & fur on her boots. I didn't really decorate too much for the inside, but instead just to emboss the inside panels, so that it wouldn't be too plain.
Here it is:
